Smuggler costume: By Jason Childers
Boots-
I used a pair that I found on sale at a Chippewa Distributor (Tony Lamas). They're called Hi-Top Engineer boots # 27909. The only modifications were removing the straps and buckles that go over the instep.
Pants-
I took a pair of Navy Blue Dickies work pants, ironed a crease in them, sewed the edge of the crease so that it wouldn't come out. Then sewed the front pockets closed and removed the Dickies label.
Coreillian Blood Stripes-
I took red bias tape and cut 1 3/4" long strips (the amount will differ with persons height). Then I took Navy Blue hem facing and glued the strips to the facing about 3/4" apart. When that was dry I glued the hem facing to the pants OVER the existing seams. When that was dry I sewed the facing to the pants so they wouldn't come off. (in order to do this you'll have to take out the existing INSEAM so that you can open the pant leg, and then re-sew it after sewing on the hem facing.)
Pants belt-
I found this at a County Seat. It's just a military styled two hole belt.
Gunbelt and rig-
I made this personally and sell them through EDC Studios.
Shirt-
The shirt I bought through JK2 Costumers (very professional service). I modified it by taking up the sleeves for the shrunken look.
Vest-
I bought this through the SW Insider. The only modification was to add the large pocket on the back. I matched the material of the vest cut out a square and sewed it to the vest.
